Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Department of Social Development in KwaZulu-Natal says a 10-year-old boy who found the body of his slain aunt is receiving trauma counselling.
The woman was stabbed to death in her KwaMakhutha home, south of Durban, in what's believed to have been a domestic dispute last week.
The department's spokersperson Mhlaba Memela says the child made the gruesome discovery after he had returned home from the shop.

"There is a team of social workers that have been deployed to the family and is led by the chief director of eThekwini.
"The report that we have received is that as much as the child is still traumatised and scared, the social workers have now begun the process to engage with the child."
The suspect who fled the scene was arrested in Estcourt and is due to make his first appearance in the Umbumbulu Magistrate's Court on Wedenesday.
