Cosatu to lead "Zuma must go" shutdown
Trade Union Federation Cosatu says it plans to shut down the country in the next few months to ensure President Jacob Zuma steps down.
Deputy General Secretary, Solly Phetoe, says they have sumbmitted a notice of intention to strike at Nedlac which will kick off their "Zuma must go campaign".
"We have submitted a Section 77 with regards to job losses at Eskom, including the Brian Molefe saga. We will then take to the streets, we are mobalising our members, once its approved we will march and picket across the country," says Phetoe.
Cosatu also plans to submit a Section 77 in relation to allegations of state capture and corruption.

"We want a total shut down in the next few months to ensure all these matters are dealt with includling Zuma stepping down," says Phetoe.
He says Cosatu's 2015 National Congress made a resolution that Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa should lead the ANC.
"The decision was based on the culture that has been happening in the ANC. We also lead the campaign for Zuma to be the president and there is nothing wrong with us leading the same campaign for Ramaphosa," he adds.
Phetoe believes Ramaphosa has the capacity to lead and insists he is the only leader to restore the dignity of the governing alliance.
