COSATU calls for nationwide strike against corruption

COSATU says it's calling a nationwide strike over corruption
"A general strike on the 7th of October across the country."
"Workers are losing their jobs, the economy is on its knees and their own pensions are disappearing because of corruption and the failure both in the public and the private sector has left workers with no choice but to exercise their right to strike," says National spokesperson Sizwe Pamla.
Pamla says President Cyril Ramaphosa's administration is failing to take action against those implicated in corruption.
He says the looting is getting worse.

Pamla says they've started mobilising workers and adds the COVID-19 restrictions won't stop the mass action from going ahead...
"We want to see corruption taken seriously. We have given them proposals. In 2010 there were special courts to prosecute crimes that were committed in and around the World Cup," he said.
"So if we could if we could take a soccer tournament seriously like we did in 2010, why are we not having special courts to prosecute corruption?
