Corruption-accused Mmamonnye Ngobeni, Thoshan Panday back in court
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The corruption case against Durban businessman, Thoshan Panday and KZN's former police commissioner, Mmamonnye Ngobeni is currently underway in the Durban Magistrate's Court.

The pair and former police officers Navin Madhoe and Ashwin Narainpershad are facing charges of fraud and corruption linked to a multi-million rand accommodation tender for officers during the soccer World Cup in 2010.
The indictment in the case was meant to be served on all four accused last month but the investigating directorate advocate Talita Louw requested a month-long postponement due to outstanding authorisation.

Louw said they applied to the National Director of Public Prosecutions for a racketeering authorisation. The court heard that indictment will be served once the certificate has been obtained.
