Corruption-accused businessman Thoshan Panday and family members in court

The Soccer World Cup accommodation corruption case involving Durban businessman, Thoshan Panday and former KZN top cop Mmamonnye Ngobeni has been postponed to August.
Panday, Ngobeni and two police officers, Navin Madhoe and Aswin Narainpershad face charges including racketeering, fraud, and money laundering.
They were joined in the Durban High Court on Friday by five other accused.
They are Panday's wife, his 70-year-old mother, his sister and brother-in-law - as well as the businessman's former assistant.

The Investigating Directorate's Sindisiwe Seboka said: The policemen who are accused in this matter face accusations of colluding with Panday to receive contracts from the KZN Police.
"Panday's family members are accused of aiding and working with common purpose by registering companies in 2009 which benefitted and worked as fronts for Panday to score the lucrative contracts from SAPS.
