COPE stands behind Public Protector
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
Madonsela has faced some criticism, particularly from the ruling party over her report on spending on upgrades at Nkandla.
COPE meanwhile is staging a placard demonstration in support of the Public Protector.
The party's Dennis Bloem says they will be joined by religious and community leaders.
"We want to attain security and mobilise support of the whole country to defend the Public Protector. The people of this country are sick and tired of corruption, especially from the ruling party. President Jacob Zuma doesn't want to listen to the Public Protector," he said.
