Cop and motorist killed in Umkomaas
A police officer and a motorist have been killed in Umkomaas on the south coast.
Police say a 55-year-old captain was shot on the M14 in Roseneath while on his way to work this morning in a state vehicle.
He was apparently followed by a car with four occupants- who opened fire as he approached a speed hump.
Police spokesperson, Brenda Muridili says the suspects left the scene in their getaway vehicle.

A vehicle from Umkomaas was doing patrols in the vicinity saw the suspects, and a chase ensued. The suspects crashed into a truck but they managed to escape the vehicle and robbed and fatally wounded a motorist and fled the scene."
