COSATU called on President Cyril Ramaphosa to get to the bottom of alleged personal protective equipment tender fraud.

There have been a number of tender irregularity claims at municipal and provincial level - implicating ANC officials and amounting to millions.
At the end of last month, President Cyril Ramaphosa's spokesperson Khusela Diko took a leave of absence pending an SIU investigation into a R125 million tender for protective gear.
Gauteng's Health MEC Bandile Masuku, his wife and Diko and husband were fingered in a report.
COSATU's Sizwe Pamla says incidents are happening right under the nose of President Ramaphosa, who's been vocal about corruption.
"Many of our members in health facilities and municipalities and in prisons are struggling to have access to these PPEs and to hear that millions are being spent by giving politically connected individuals money who are not really delivering, that is something we find unacceptable.
"President Cyril Ramaphosa needs to swing a big axe - that is the only language crooks and fraudsters understand," says Pamla.
