Concerns over Oceans Mall rank progress
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The South African National Taxi Council in the greater north says it's concerned about what it has described as a slow process in the building of a taxi rank at Umhlanga's Oceans Mall.

The taxi council says they hope that by the festive season, the rank will be completed.
On Friday, Santaco officials and developers from the mall conducted a oversight visit to assess a proposed taxi rank facility.

It's after taxi drivers blocked of roads around the mall in protest- after the space that they were using as a rank was blocked off.
Santaco's Themba Kubheka who was at the oversight visit says they haven't been consulted for the correct numbers of associations and taxis that need to be accommodated.
They cant just build a rand without getting the exact number of associations and taxis that need to be accommodated. They are building associated that cant accommodate a single association."
