Zuma's legal team said the Zondo Commission is trying to attack his credibility and creating an impression that he is the king of the State Capture project.

After proceedings wrapped up yesterday, the former president's lawyer Daniel Mantsha told the media that they won't subject Zuma to gossip by people he fired in the past.

"If you really wanted the president to clarify any issue - you would then have said - president this witness says you have stole money. Did you steal money?."

"In the case of Barbara Hogan if this witness is saying that you interfered with appointments and the answer was - appointments at this level are done by Cabinet. Irrespective of the view the president might have, that was good enough to get the Commission to move [on]," Mantsha said.
