Durban weather officials say cold and wet weather conditions are expected in KZN from Wesnesday.

Temperatures are expected to drop in the province from tomorrow, with light snow expected to fall tomorrow night into Thursday morning in areas over the Underberg and Drakensberg.
The SA Weather Service says the cold front will start sweeping over the eastern parts of the country resulting in gale force winds in the southern parts of the province.

The service's Thandiwe Gumede says heavy rains should start falling from Thursday.
"Chances of precipitation are 60 to 80%. We are also expecting heavy rain that might lead to flooding over the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. We're expecting snowfall that might become disruptive over the south western parts of the province. On Friday, we're expecting heavy rain that could lead to flooding along our coast," she says.
An alert is also being issued - for runaway fires. People are being advised not to start fires as there will be strong winds.
