Cogta MEC, Msunduzi residents to meet at Imbizo

Concerned Msunduzi residents are hearing how local government plans on turning the situation around at their beleaguered municipality.

They're meeting with the Co-Operative Governance MEC today, after Msunduzi was placed under administration.
A number of senior officials - linked to fraud and corruption claims - are being investigated.
MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube's engaging with residents at an Imbizo at the KwaCaluza Community Hall today, to explain what's being done to rectify the situation.
COGTA spokesperson, Lennox Mabaso says they hope people support their plan.
"The government is founded on a principle that people are governing. It is the people that are the bosses of government. So every decision that the government takes on behalf of the people must be reported back to them, and also solicit their views and opinions so that everyone can come together and support this municipality to make sure that it continues to shine," Mabaso said.
