Clicks removes all TRESemmé products amid protests

Retailer, Clicks says it's no longer stocking TRESemmé products on its shelves.
An advert by the hair care brand has caused an uproar for referring to the hair of a black African model as damaged and dry - while that of a white model was described as normal.
The Clicks Group says the brand's products will be removed immediately - and their place will be taken by more locally-sourced hair care brands.

The company is committing to help develop the local beauty market - and says it's been in talks with Trade and Industry and Labour authorities.
It says a senior executive who was responsible has resigned - while all other suspended employees involved in publishing the advertisement will have an independently chaired disciplinary hearing.
It's promising to prioritise diversity and inclusion training for its head office staff and to review its content.
Clicks has also announced it's shutting its doors nationwide on Wednesday to give counselling and support to its staff.
