The ex-girlfriend of Njabulo's father, Amahle Maliwa and her friend Liziwe Ngwayise appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court yesterday for the case against them to be transferred.

They will be back in the dock, this time in front of a judge, in October.

The State is expected to argue that the boys were taken to Maliwa's house after school and kept there until nightfall.

It is alleged that Njabulo was then taken to the Bayhead Road Canal and Luyanda to Dove Road in Montclair, south of Durban where they were forced to drink poison.

A post-mortem could not determine Njabulo's death due to his body having been found in an advanced state of decomposition.

However, Luyanda's was ruled consistent with chemical burns.
