Civil Aviation Authority suspends Lufthansa Technik licence
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Lufthansa Technik’s maintenance licence.

It's one of the companies that maintained Comair's planes.
The CAA says the suspension follows a four-day audit last week of both Lufthansa Technik and SAA Technical, the other organisation that does maintenance on Comair's fleet.
It followed the conclusion of the Comair audit following safety concerns that saw its flights grounded for five days.

The CAA says during a safety oversight visit, Lufthansa Technik's quality control and safety management systems were reviewed to check compliance.
It says four Level 1 findings were raised with the organisation, which include an immediate risk to users of civil aviation services.
Lufthansa Technik has been given 24 hours to make representations.
