Change of plans for Zondo Commission, as Ramaphosa requests new dates for appearances

President Cyril Ramaphosa's appearance before the State Capture Commission has had to be postponed.

Chairperson, Deputy Chief Justice - Raymond Zondo - says the President's requested to move the dates due to other commitments.
Ramaphosa was due to give evidence in his capacity as President of the ANC on the 22nd and 23rd of April and president of the country on the 28th and 29th of April.

"The President of the ANC is not going to be appearing before the Commission on the 22nd and 23rd of April but he will still appear on the 28th and 29th. Originally on the 28th and 29th in his capacity as President of the republic but that has changed.
On those two days, he will appear as the president of the ANC.
"As president of the country, he will now appear before the commission on the 13th and 14th of May."
