CCMA intervenes in national bus strike
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Unions representing striking bus drivers will be meeting with the CCMA this morning - as the national bus strike enters day two.
Thousands of commuters have had to find other ways of getting to work and school after drivers downed tools yesterday.
They want a 12% wage increase with a minimum basic wage of R8000. Employers want to give them a three-year deal that will see them receiving a 7.5% hike by 2020.

SATAWU's Zanele Sabela acknowledges that the strike action comes at a cost to commuters.
She says they want the dispute to be resolved as soon as possible.
"CCMA has kindly agreed to intervene on the public's interest to try and see if they can bring us together," Sabela said.
