Cato Ridge light aircraft crashed after losing power
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
The Civil Aviation Authority says initial reports indicate that the plane that crashed in Cato Ridge this past weekend had lost power.
Two men, who are both in their 60s, were injured when the light aircraft crashed near the High Stakes airstrip, off Georgedale Road, on Saturday morning.
The authority's Kabelo Ledwaba says the aircraft's been identified as a Aeroprakt Foxbat A22.
It appears the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing when the crash took place.
