Case opened following another Durban rock-throwing attack

Police are investigating a case of malicious damage to property following another rock-throwing incident in Durban.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the latest incident happened near Blue Lagoon, but no one was injured.
"It is alleged that this morning, at around 7am, the victim was driving along the Blue Lagoon when her vehicle was smashed with a boulder. The suspect is unknown at this stage. The matter is being investigated and there have been no arrests made," he said.

There has been a number of rock-throwing incidents in and around Durban over the last couple of months.
In December, 16-year-old Amina Haffejee and her 7-year-old brother, Abdur Raheem were killed when a boulder thrown from a bridge on the N2 near Tongaat, on the north coast smashed the into the car they were travelling in.

Last month, a 27-year-old man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on seven attempted murder counts in Durban for throwing rocks.
