Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The matter of the driver of one of the vehicles involved in a crash that claimed the lives of six of Transport Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga's relatives has been pushed back to next month.

Celumusa Ngwenya appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
He's facing six counts of culpable homicide.
The minister's son, daughter-in-law and four grandchildren were killed when a bakkie and another vehicle collided on the N11 in Ladysmith in July 2022.

"Following the accident and prosecutor investigations, Ngwenya appeared in court on summons. During court proceedings today he opted for legal aid, and the matter was remanded to the 4th of February for consultation and copies of the docket," said the NPA in KZN's Natasha Ramkisson Kara.
Ngwenya was earlier granted bail by the court.
