The family of a Durban woman who was killed in a car accident on the M4 freeway a day before her 32nd birthday says her death has left a void in the family.
Selishia Govender died in hospital after being involved in a head on collision near Durban north on Tuesday.
Her uncle Jace Nair says they are in shock.
"We've been waiting for her to return from work, the time was going by, and she wasn't back from work and when the news broke that she was involved in a serious accident and subsequent to that, with her passing away the family was devastated with her loss."

Nair described his niece as a kind woman who had harnessed the power to brighten up those around her.
He says she was preparing for her wedding later in the year.
"She was also sought defined by the deep and enduring love she shared with his fiance. Their story is testament to their bond and the dept of their connection and through highs and lows they stood side by side supporting each other and now it’s such a great pity of this loss."
