The African National Congress (ANC) has confirmed Carl Niehaus has been temporarily suspended from the party.
National spokesperson Pule Mabe told a briefing on Wednesday afternoon that the Niehaus, who is a spokesperson for the disbanded Umkhonto weSizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA), will face a disciplinary hearing.
Mabe says his membership is being suspended over inflammatory statements he made at former president Jacob Zuma’s Nkandla home over the weekend.
