Car hits three pedestrians in Durban central
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A car involved in a collision in central Durban has slammed into three pedestrians, leaving one person in a serious condition.
Reports from the scene are that two vehicles collided at the corner of David Webster and Dr Yusuf Dadoo streets on Friday morning.
One of the cars veered off the road and struck three pedestrians - trapping a 67-year-old woman beneath it.
"Very chaotic in terms of members of the public all over the place. It makes it very difficult for paramedics to see who is actually insured or not," says spokesperson for First Responder KZN medics Derrick Banks.

"We were then pointed to a lady who was lying on the side of the pavement, who was being treated, who had been pulled out by members of the public from underneath one vehicle. She suffered serious injuries."
Banks says an off-duty security guard helped pull her out.
"We were quite grateful, and we actually thanked him because it was quite nice to see that we still got some good samaritans out there."
