Calm
has been restored in Nkandla, in northern KZN, where a week-long protest turned
violent recently.

The demonstration by angry community members shut down the CBD last week, and disrupted schools and businesses.
Properties were torched including an ambulance.
Residents were protesting over the poor condition of provincial roads and demanded action from KZN Transport MEC Sipho Hlomuka.
