Members of the rights group protested outside the Amanzimtoti Magistrate's Court this week to demand a refusal of bail for Werner de Jager.

His wife Liezel was found strangled at home two years ago.

On Tuesday, final legal arguments zeroed in on two counts of murder that the state wants to add to his charge sheet.

De Jager was involved in a crash in the Free State which killed two women.

The state attorney argued he shouldn't have been driving knowing that he had memory problems and experienced blackouts.

According to the state, the deaths were foreseeable, therefore arguing murder rather than culpable homicide.

The court heard that he poses a danger to the public, and she will meet with the Chief Prosecutor to bring this case to Durban.

Judgement in his bail hearing has been postponed to later this month.

Bobbi Bear's Eureka Olivier says the case has dragged on for too long.

"Two years ago, this happened, and nothing happened. It just went completely dead. Quietly behind the scenes, we have been pushing as well. We want to know what is going on.

"You cannot tell me a woman is murdered and nobody saw a thing or knows a thing, and it just dies for two whole years. There are children in that home, and GBV has happened, and it affects those children. How do those children carry on normally?"
