Call for KZN MEC to probe municipal billing errors
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The Democratic Alliance (DA) has written to the MEC for Cooperative Governance, asking for a probe into municipal billing errors.

The party says during its own research, numerous issues were picked up on the accounts of residents in eThekwini and Msunduzi.
"The move comes after the DA ran a survey consisting of more than 770 respondents from across the province.
"The assessment also forms part of the DA's ongoing probe into the state of local government in the province," says the DA's Chris Pappa.

Pappas says they want to know how many households have been affected.
"The DA is extremely concerned about the poor quality billing that is taking place in the province with one of the shocking findings revealing that 86 percent of residences claim that the municipalities do not respond to their complaints efficiently and effectively."
