Busisiwe Mkhwebane emphasises the importance of teamwork

Newly-elected Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane is yet to meet staff from the nine provincial and regional offices.
Mkhwebane says her approach to the role will be underpinned by the Constitutional principles of impartiality and independence.
Speaking in Pretoria at her first press briefing as Public Protector yesterday, she said her office will no longer accept foreign donations and that she's requested additional funding from government.

Mkhwebane says she's hit the ground running and has met staff at head office.
"In my meeting with staff, I've made it clear that I have not come here to lead alone. I have said that I will walk side by side with them in pursuit of a shared vision. One of the things I have noticed since arriving here on Monday is that there is a low staff morale at least here at head office," she said.
The Public Protector has also spoken about how the Office will tackle the 'state capture' report. Watch below:
