Businessman and Amazulu FC boss Sandile Zungu has officially announced he'll be running for the position of ANC chairperson in KwaZulu-Natal.

He revealed this during a press briefing in Durban on Tuesday.
He'll be up against current chairperson Sihle Zikalala and Finance MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube in the much-anticipated ANC provincial conference this weekend.
Zungu says he believes he's got strong political credentials and is fit to contest.
"I believe that I have a right to be here as a member of the ANC in good standing and meeting the requirements in all respect to be here to available to stand for political office as nominated and knowing that the decision ultimately does not rest with me."

"But is it my democratic right and my duty to be available to stand when I am nominated. The outcomes are determined elsewhere in the conference."
Zungu said he wants to see the party working together without political squabbles.
"Most of the branches and most ordinary members of the ANC in the province they want to see the ANC unify. If I was given a chance to lead the ANC in the province, I can assure you that will be priority number one."
