The eight people they have arrested are believed to have belonged to a mob that beat and killed the pair.
"The victims were reportedly dragged from their residence. The group of people on 9 August accused them of being behind a spate of housebreakings in the area.
"It is believed that the suspects sought the victims to death before feeding them to dogs. The suspects appeared before court on 14 August and were remanded in custody. There were due to appear in court again Monday 21 August for bail application."
