Home Affairs says even though it's been
forced to cut its annual budget this won't affect service delivery.

The department will have to effect a five percent cut for 2020/21, six percent in 2021/22, and seven percent in 2022/23.

Spokesperson Siya Qoza said the budget cuts do not affect current jobs at its 412 offices.
“We do not anticipate that any of those offices will be closed. The most likely impact will be on hiring people mostly at head office, but the front-line offices where we offer services to people, we don’t envision any impact at this stage,” he said.
