National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Luvuyo Mfaku says they welcome the conviction.
"We always welcome any conviction, especially in respect of the vulnerable groups and issues of gender-based violence, because they send out a message that we take those offences very seriously and our prosecutors will fight vehemently to ensure that convictions are secured," says Mfaku.
