Boy survives Durban near drowning incident

A 4-year-old boy has survived a near-drowning incident on the Durban beachfront.

He was allegedly found unresponsive beneath the water's surface.

Initial reports are that bystanders began resuscitation efforts before authorities arrived at the scene.Netcare911 medics then arrived and assessed him.
Spokesperson Shawn Herbst says he was found to be in a stable condition.
