Boy (7) killed in Clairwood collision
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A seven-year-old boy has died - and another child is being rushed to hospital in a critical condition - after a collision involving a taxi and a car at the intersection of South Coast and Blamey Roads in Clairwood, south of Durban.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson - who spoke to Newswatch from the scene - says the vehicles collided in a T-bone formation.
Jamieson says the four and seven-year-old boys were being driven to school in the car.

He says both children were in a critical condition when emergency services arrived at the scene.
"Advanced life support paramedics worked quickly to stabilize the two. However, the seven-year-old child sustained serious injuries, and despite efforts to try to resuscitate him - the child passed away," he said.
Jamieson says the boys parents were on scene.
"They're absolutely hysterical, as you can imagine," he said.
