Updated | By Portia Cele
A three-year-child remains in a critical condition in hospital, following a near-drowning incident at his home in Marrianhill, near Pinetown.

According to reports from the scene, the boy fell into the pool at the Holzner Avenue property yesterday afternoon.
Netcare911's Shawn Herbst says a neighbour - who hear the child's screams - rushed to save him.
"Neighbours heard the splashing and cries for help and went to investigate. When they saw the child was submerged in the pool - the neighbour jumped over the fence to rescue the child."
Herbst says when paramedics arrived on scene, CPR was already initiated by the neighbour.
"Full advance life support resuscitation was initiated [by medics]," he said.
