Boy (16) drowns in Umgeni River

A 16-year-old boy has drowned in the Umgeni River in Kwadabeka, east of Durban.

Medical Rescue teams say the boy had been swimming at the edge of the river, before he drowned.

Rescue Divers recovered his body five metres under water.
Police say an inquest docket has been opened.
