Bonginkosi Khanyile takes bail bid to ConCourt

Student activists have made their way to Johannesburg to support Bonginkosi Khanyile as he petitions the Constitutional Court for his release.
The jailed DUT student has been denied bail several times following his arrest in February last year - following countrywide fees protests.
Khanyile - who's been behind bars since September - is facing eight charges including public violence, illegal gathering and inciting violence.

His mother, Phumzile Khathini, who's been hoping that her son gets released - says she'll also be by his side today
Meanwhile, Julius Malema has called on supporters of the #FeesMustFall movement on social media to gather outside the ConCourt today.
Malema paid a visit to the Khanyile in January - in support of the student.

His previous applications to the Durban Magistrate's Court and the High Court in Pietermaritzburg have failed.
