Boksburg tanker explosion toll now at 40

The death toll from
the gas tank truck explosion in Boksburg has risen to 40.
It's been confirmed that three more people have died.
An LPG tanker exploded after it jammed under a bridge near the OR Tambo memorial hospital in December last year.
Among those who have died were the hospital's health workers and children.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi says all victims have been accounted for.
"This number is inclusive of 12 health workers, five are still in various hospitals,” he said at a media briefing on Tuesday.
“Twenty-three have been discharged. Through the records of the police we can account for every person that has passed on, hospitalised and those who have been buried or in the process of being buried."
