Body of woman found in tree after flooding in KwaDukuza

A north coast woman has died after she drowned in the Nonoti River in KwaDukuza on Saturday night as heavy rains swept across the area.
Emergency services on the scene said the 28-year-old lost her footing and was swept away by strong waters.
IPSS spokesperson Paul Herbst says: "The rescuers from IPSS and NSRI commenced a search of the river while SAPS K9 Dante and his handler Clinton, searched the flood plains alongside the river."

"Approximately 1km downstream, with the assistance of K9 Dante, the female's body was located 3-metres up in a tree," he says.
