Updated | By Algoa FM
The body of a South
African woman who died in China has been repatriated back to her home in Mossel
Bay.
Twenty-seven-year-old Lusanda Sixaxeni worked in China as an English teacher for the last three years before her death in September.
Chinese authorities were going to cremate Sixaxeni's remains, which is against the family's beliefs and wishes, after they were told they would need to raise about R400 000 to bring Lusanda's body back to South Africa.
The family managed to get the money together with the help of Mossel Bay residents and other South Africans to bring Sixaxeni's body home.
