Body found in Malvern yet to be identified, murder case opened

KZN police are yet to identify a woman whose badly decomposed body was found dumped in a dense bush in Malvern, south of Durban.

It was spotted near the main road on Saturday night.
Police say a stokes basket had to be used to carry the body along the train tracks and up an embankment to the road.
A murder docket is being investigated.

Meanwhile, the CPF's Kevin Pillay says they need more police to monitor the area.
"People are anxious at the moment, crime is not easing up at Malvern we have 182 vetted patrollers. We have so many issues, we have Malvern policing precinct with around 53,000 people and informal settlements."
