Body of ‘beloved’ teacher found in Chatsworth home
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Bayview police are investigating a case of murder and house robbery after a Chatsworth teacher who'd been missing for a week was found dead.
Priya Bhim was last seen leaving her school in Seaview last Thursday.
Her nephew Shravan Bhim says his aunt did not show up for work the next day.
He says they started growing worried over the weekend.
"Her WhatsApp status was removed, and her picture. On Monday, as a family, we looked at it as completely irregular now. We needed to look into it because she was also not taking any calls, so we phoned the hotels she would visit, and all of them said she hadn’t checked in.
"We gave it another day, and she didn’t show up at work. So we went to the police and made a missing persons report."

The body of the 49-year-old educator was found on Wednesday.
She'd been strangled, with her hands and legs bound.
Bhim says his aunt was well-known and loved and was passionate about child education.
He says the family needs answers.
"She didn't deserve this, to pass in such a terrible manner where she was left bound. We don't even know how she suffered, and you don’t wish that on anyone, even your worst enemy.
"It is hard for us to take in because it’s quite a process to go through with the police. Hopefully, they can shed some light and give us closure.'
Police say a man have been arrested.
