Body of 17-year-old boy recovered from KZN beach

Police Search and Rescue members have recovered the body of a 17-year-old boy days after he allegedly drowned at a beach, south of Durban.
It's understood that the boy was swimming with two of his friends on Monday when they got into difficulty at a beach near Umgababa.
Authorities say his friends managed to make it back to shore while he disappeared beneath the water.

Police say the boy's badly decomposed body was discovered floating in the Umgababa river mouth yesterday with severe injuries to his torso - thought to be from shark bites.
Authorities have opened an inquest docket.
