Blue light brigades' 'driving is reckless and dangerous' - AA
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube

It says there's growing evidence that Presidential Protection Unit convoys transporting politicians pose a safety threat to other motorists.
The AA's Layton Beard says they're concerned about these so-called blue light brigades which have become notorious for speeding.

He says they've asked to meet urgently with the police and transport ministers.
"The driver defiantly must be held accountable, but the minister and politicians who are the passengers in those vehicles are senior members of government and certainly they should have the authority to tell the drivers that the way they are driving is reckless and dangerous.
"It is of great concern to the AA that these drivers, entourages and convoys are incredibly aggressive towards other drivers on the roads. In some instances, even showing firearms to regular motorists."
