Bloody awesome! Front-row seat for all at new SANBS Durban lab

Members of the public will be able to watch donated blood being processed at the South African National Blood Service's (SANBS) new lab in Durban.
The Mount Edgecombe facility has officially been unveiled.
It's a first of its kind and gives people a first-hand experience in the testing and processing of blood.
SANBS regional spokesperson Sifiso Khoza says it's open to the public at no cost.

"This new state-of-the-art facility, people will be able to walk and view everything through the glass and then they will be able to interact with the iPads and pose questions and get answers.
“So it's actually from the moment the blood get into the labs from the various containers up until it gets dispatched to the clinics and hospitals."
He's encouraged people to continue donating blood to save lives.
