LISTEN: Biker killed in horrific N2 crash
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A man has been killed in a crash that some paramedics have described as one of the worst accident scenes they've responded to.
A motorbike and truck collided on the N2 in the vicinity of the King Shaka International Airport, north of Durban, this morning.
Speaking to Newswatch from the scene, Netcare911's Chris Botha says debris from the bike was strewn nearly 100 metres across the freeway.
Botha says the back of the truck was completely destroyed. He added that part of the motorbike was still alight when paramedics arrived, and the fire department had to use a fire extinguisher to put it out.
