SAB said in a statement that the recent destruction and looting in KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Gauteng, dealt another heavy blow to the alcohol industry, which came to a standstill when lockdown level 4 restrictions were imposed weeks ago.
It says the lifting of the ban is a welcome relief to the many workers whose jobs couldn't be guaranteed.
It says over a quarter of a million livelihoods depend on the beer value chain alone.
