Beach closure alert for Durban residents
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
eThekwini and the Country Club Beaches will remain closed for the next few days.
The municipality's Tozi Mthethwa says this is due to a forecast of high seas by the SA Weather Service. The closures also include the lifting of shark nets.
"We ask all beachgoers [wanting to use eThekwini and Country Club beaches] not to try and access those beaches. The rest of the beaches are operational and may still be enjoyed.
"If anyone spots incidents in the area of the closed beaches, please ensure that you report to authorities so that we can be at the scene and assist as quickly as we can," she says.
