Updated | By Newswatch
Ballito's Thompson Bay and Willard beaches are expected to be reopened to the public on Tuesday.

Thompson Bay was closed over the weekend after a sewer line broke down at Simbithi and overflowed from Ballito Drive down to the beach.
KwaDukuza Municipality says Willard Beach was also closed due to possible exposure.

It says it's working with Siza Water to ensure the beaches are safe for use.
Officials say beachgoers can in the meantime make use of other beaches like Clarke Bay, Shakas Rock, Salt Rock, Tiffany's, Tinley, Blythedale and Zinkwazi.
"Once more, the KwaDukuza Municipality apologises profusely to all persons whose plans were inconvenienced because of the emergency beach closure, the decision had to be taken to protect beachgoers," the municipality said in a statement.
