Bail granted to man who crashed into Zuma’s car

The man whose vehicle collided with former president Jacob Zuma’s official armoured state vehicle has been released on bail.

Zuma and his guards were inside the car at the time of the crash.
The incident happened on Thursday evening near Eshowe.

No one was hurt.
KZN NPA spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson-Kara says the man appeared in the Eshowe Magistrates Court on Thursday.
"The accused appeared on charges of reckless and negligent driving as well as driving under the influence. He was granted bail of R500, and the case was remanded to 03 May 2024 for further investigations."
