Authorities on high alert amid possible flooding in KZN

Disaster Management teams have been placed on high alert,
after a weather warning for heavy rains and localised flooding was released for
KZN.
The South African Weather Service predicted a 60% chance of rain today and said that temperatures are expected to drop.
Possible snow was also predicted for the Drakensberg.
The weather service says things should start improving on Tuesday.

"The MEC has warned motorists to drive with caution as the roads can be slippery," says the spokesperson for the Department of Cooperative Governance, Senzo Mzila.
"The disaster management teams are on alert across the province and will be on standby should the need arise for them to support. The MEC is also appealing to the residents not to cross low lying bridges as this does pose a serious risk to life."
